i am taking a break from fur for a bit because maya is making me angry, so i am working and familiarizing myself with zbrush. zbrush rocks! here is some detail i am going to be putting into the legs. i have a horse anatomy book i am looking at as well as a book with really detailed images.

I have the baldness map applied and am happy with it. I am still tweaking the length map and painting direction.

I got the color map applied and painted and am now working with the fur.

Here is the unwrapped horse. I need to fix up some of the uvs around the eye area and also around the nose. I tried to bring the obj back into maya but am having issues. The uvs do not show up in the uv texture editor and i am not sure why? Help! I am sure I am just missing a step or something. Hopefully!

O gosh.....and now the horse

I think that I need to make the head a bit smaller because the checkers are larger than the rest of the body. Also were the arm attaches to the body thier seems to be some weird distortion business going on.

Here is the uv layout in maya. I arranged the ears around a bit and sewed parts of the feet together.

This is the uv layout in headus, i am going to move some of the uvs around in maya. (probably around the ear area and also organize the uv shells better.

I am going to use headus to unwrap the horse as well. So you all know what I will be doing this weekend! It is going to take forever:( But I can't wait to paint it!!!

The horse is coming along, I made the nose skinnier and am almost to the point where I can start unwrapping.

I am now working on unwrapping the uvs in headus.

I also finished up the eyelids so they are ready for rigging.

I made the legs longer....
